this was my understanding as well
Landry's blown coverage (...twice...), the missed field goal chip-shot, and the botched punt return attempt that ended up netting the Saints 21 positive yards - take any one of those away and the replay/challenge in OT wouldn't have mattered
i know that the 'skins are out of the playoff run and a loss would help to get better draft picks, but damnit, i like to see them win! it would've been great to get the publicity of knocking off the 11-0 saints as well.
