Any tips on painting floorboards? Did you sand, primer, paint?

That should be all that's necessary in yours. The 240s gets so hot b/c the header is wrapping around/under the corner where your right heel sits as it heads toward the trans tunnel. Some kind of heat shield/reflector would do wonders right there.

I remember that after about 10 minutes on track the floorboard of my 240 would be hot enough to melt my shoe and I'd have to keep my heel off the floor for the rest of the session. Header wrap helped out, but didn't eliminate it unfortunately.
