yes, the R is lowered on koni coilovers Big Grin and yes, I've most definitely done the flapper; that's a must for an R

when i had my A4 i used to fantasize about a VR6 swap ala the 034EFI shop car...

that would have been sweet. you could have taken the R32 engine and drive train from an audi TT. the biggest problem is the engine mounting since the audi TT/VW R32 is mounted differently than the audis.

REED Wrote:i thought the R32 would be pretty practical, comfortable and reliable, no?

yeah, I exaggerated a little. lets put it this way....the R32 is less practical than the MKV rabbit, which is like the toyota corolla of VWs, but yeah, it is still practical. the R is actually very comfortable, has decent gas mileage for a large engine, and is reliable. it's like the most practical "sports car" you can have. fast, maneuverable, but can still haul an out door patio set.

V1GiLaNtE Wrote:mmmm.... R32's... Oh how I heart the VR6... wish we could swap that into a b5.5 passat...

forget the VR6, you should trade your current b5 passat for the one with the W8 engine and 4 motion AWD!!
