My memory sucks, but the primary one I remember was calling when I got somewhere and calling when I was leaving to come home, and that I had to be home before midnight. I was really involved in clubs, but I think that might be a good restriction too b/c it might broaden her interests and if nothing else looks good on a resume/college app.
Parents paid insurance and bought the first car (so they got to pick what I drove), but I had to pay for gas and general maintenance. If something big broke, they picked it up. Tickets, and consequences of jackassery were on me, so I behaved for the most part; I paid for any modifications I wanted to make as well.
Aside from dad teaching me how to drive stick in his truck on the back roads of NC (which mom wasn't happy about), my first day turning a wheel was with the driving instructor. It was a bit intimidating and I resented mom for it b/c it made me look like an ass.
