These cars in excellent condition are beginning to sell for what their sticker price was when new. Believe me, I wish this car was only selling for 5k-6k, if it was it would be mine. Now is the time to buy, they will only increase in value. And as for the factory A/C delete option you pointed out, that makes it worth more to the collectors.
Very few were built without A/C.
