I use it daily, and like it. A lot of the time, it is silly updates. A lot of the time, it's a great way to stay in touch with the local crowd (be it tech or anything else). The local Charlottesville tech crowd is very Twitter-centric, and it's a great way to stay up to date on the projects and technologies everyone is using without a lot of effort. And, since it updates my facebook status, it basically serves as my interface to social networking.
I've written a couple of Charlottesville-oriented Twitter apps:

Last but not least, the local late-night hot dog van tweets their location
