The manifolds are symmetrical. take off, flip around, reattach. The bellhousing pattern is the same as the vulcan/mazda V6, so you should be able to use a 3.0 ranger trans.
I mean, a SHO engine is going to cost you, what, 30 dollars? You should buy one and then find out.
