Yeah, I don't think you have anything to worry about. The C4 is a great car and all, but any car that more or less stayed the same (tech-wise, shape-wise), but got a little bit better with new generations I don't think will be a true collectible.
Off topic: How reliable is a C4 as a weekend car?
