I think Vettel is already a contender for the title. Outside of Lewham he is definitely the best new talent in the championship.
As for the diffusers, I don't think that's the major reason the BGP01 is fast. It helps for sure, but Rubinho broke his in an early race incident and he still finished second (due to the Vettel/Kubica incident). But like I said, unless BGP gets a good chunk of funding they may not be able to keep pace. Then again, like they were saying on the Speed broadcast, every team that has opened the season with a 1-2 has won the title.
