Lets not forget that in contracting, "small companies," if they qualify... they get special treatment and usually the contracts are there to really support them and give them extra money for average performance.

Don't forget that most of those companies are subs to a prime on a contract, and the prime often does the "we don't pay you until we get paid" trick which means small companies are almost always getting fucked.
