Just to note, on the pasta thing..I have been making my own sauces lately...it's turned out pretty fantastic. One can of diced tomatos, one can of tomato sauce, 1 clove of thinly sliced garlic (which is a pain in the ass to do, so sometimes i use garlic powder), one shalot chopped up, oregano, pepper, etc to taste. Caramelize the onions/garlic in a little bit of EVOO, add in tomatos/sauce/other stuff and let it simmer while you make the rest of the pasta..easy, cheap, and better than canned stuff
