Windows has a firewall, just use that. If it were me, I'd uninstall McAfee and disable all the auto-run for the tons of things that probably show up as icons by your clock. You can leave Ad-Aware if you're nervous but things like Quicktime, Acrobat and all the "updaters" are completely unnecessary.
