Dave Wrote:ITB = individual throttle body

I would think it would be prohibitively expensive for marginal gains in his case. If my thinking is correct, it would require a complex, custom-made intake plenum, with each runner having its own butterfly connected to a cable linkage. The benefit would prob be a very slight increase in throttle response, but otherwise, not going to see a whole lot more.

Considering he's running pretty conservative numbers compared to what the engine could support, i dont think all the work for ITBs would be a quantifiable option.

Now... if there wasn't a big snail involved, it might be a whole different story...

ITBs in a turbo setup is completely pointless. However most aftermarket intake manifolds for cars nowadays include velocity stacks for each runner with a tapered plenum.

ITBs also dont make much power, and 99% of the ITB setups ive seen actually have lost power(im not talking peak, im talking under the curve) because of the difficulty in tuning, most people do not have the know how, flow benches and engine management to properly calculate and tune the differences in VE, fuel injector variance, pressure differentials and intake temps.

ITBs are typically used to help throttle response and one of the last efforts in engine manufacturing to help motors make that last little bit without perhaps going with different cams/pistons/valves, etc.
