The Shuns are a different feel from the German blades. Much lighter and nimbler. Like comparing a Katana to a Broadsword.
I actually have a big set of forged Chicago Cutlery that I got to fill in the gaps since the Shun set is only 6 knives. They arent as sharp or as well balanced as the Shuns but I REALLY like the feel of them and for the price they are a steal.
