If a person is inspired by the accomplishments of another, it will be short-lived unless they have a personal stake and are willing to make sacrifices to accomplish it. Regardless of what race or walk of life you come from, in our world you can accomplish almost anything if you are willing to work for it.
Does him becoming president give hope to the least among us, in particular those that grow up in poor housing projects, with lots of violence and drugs around?
Or, looking at the motivation behind the thinking Million Man March and the Millions More March where oral committments were made by those involved, but a lot of those promises did not seem to come to fruition. Just thinking out loud. Could people just feel a blip, and then go back to their same old ways, after the novelty is over?
None of Little Lebowski Urban Achievers accomplished something b/c a dude in a wheelchair supported them; they did it for themselves.
