He needs 10.5. That site doesn't say 10.5 is supported. If you do purchase a Mac (I'd highly recommend it, they're kinda awesome), you need at minimum a G4. Cheapest G4 you'll find will likely go for 150 or so. A mini is likely your best bet due to the tiny form factor and the decent specs (running 10.5 on a slow machine is hell), but then you're looking at a minimum of more like 200-250.
