I've recently gotten into scotch, more as a hobby, then a getting drunk kind of deal. I'm starting with the basics Johnnie red, glenlivet, glenfidditch, etc. Any other reccomendations?

My watch has officially shit the bed, im sick or replacing the battery so I'm looking to move up to an automatic.

Nothing crazy baller, but I know you can get into them for a few hundred bucks - anyone have any suggestions?
