A lot of the girls I know have a big thing against "meeting guys at bars" for various reasons from the fact that it's hard to have conversation to "guys are only out for one thing when they're at bars". Personally I think it's dumb, guys are always "out for one thing" but whatever.
Anyway from the woman's point of view it's a lot easier to screen through guys online than it is to sit at a bar and wait for guys to approach them, then have to spend time trying to get rid of the ones they don't want.
