I wouldn't recommend it. I glazed some HP+ at my first track weekend ever. Start out with something like the Carbotech P+.

carbotech p+ is a good pad to use for your first event. just be sure to bed them in beforehand and not on track like evan did for me last november

pretty sure I'll order the P+.... Jay, we'll have to compare our pads after slummit
