About toolboxes appreciating in value, I'm not too sure about that. I know some friends that work at dealerships that would 'trade-in' their old box to the Snap-on Guy, for a newer one (with a diminished value of course).
Maybe flag down a Snap-On truck and ask if you can trade it to him for cash?
See, I was under the impression the snap-on guy would give you what you paid for it, which was an "OK" deal..but you could usually get more for them..I dunno..maybe that's only for the really old ones or something.
