Thats just stupid. You can NEVER have more than 1 round in the gun anyway so the auto does you NO good except to pussy up the recoil for you candy ass.
If this is strictly for HOME DEFENSE I'd personally go w/ a handgun. I bought a benelli 12ga for defense/skeet shooting. Unless you plan to hunker down in a closet and point the gun at the door the shotgun isn't going to do much good. It takes LOTS of practice to clear the house and make sure the BG has left the building. Currently the instructions are to run to baby's room, wife points shotgun (with 00 buck) at door I go downstairs w/ the .45 and tact light. If anyone other than me comes upstairs pull trigger.
Now, shooting skeet is LOADS of fun, but a skeet shotgun isn't much good for home protection, guns just to long w/ a full stock and long barrel. Get a cheap 9mm or something and skeet shotgun, you can have both for $600.
