Ive lost more tools than I care to count. Whenever friends come over to work on their cars tools always get lost.
Now I am a nazi about putting tools back in their spots right after Im done with them. Not just done for the day, but done with the little job (like say removign the manifold as part of a bigger job of pulling the head). Makes everything go much better and faster.
I use harbor frieght impact sockets that are relatively cheap so typically I buy 2 sets of each at a time.

Im missing a couple of my gearwrenches. that burns me since they arent cheap.
I had a torque wrench get borrowed and not returned a couple years ago at the track. This is why I use the $20 HF torque wrenches.
Im missing a 10mm gearsocket (different from regular sockets) that has been a pita trying to replace. gotta special order it.
