Not to mention the fact you're going to need to either leave the saw idling (thus giving your position away to every zombie near you) or, uh, pull start it when you see a zombie.

I can just picture scotty, one foot on the saw, one hand furiously yanking the pullstart.

ah, true. however i'm gonna be pulling up on a dirtbike anyway...maybe i could coast in to my destination and leave the bike 100-200 yards away? that's risky though. this is just me, no others to get my back.

assuming the saw wouldn't start, at the very least i'd have a secondary weapon, my crowbar or bat either strapped to me or in a backpack. i'm not taking out a group of zombies with that but i should be able to at least backtrack and get back to my bike and bug out.

edit: what's the viscosity of dried guts? if my saw is gonna be jamming up i'm gonna have to drop that for good. i won't be able to clean it properly or all the time.
