Project - Boosted Minivan
#31
The van cannot sit. It must be dispensed with or fixed. Its not really that big of a project, its not like it will even take that much time. Its just getting things to happen all at the right times to make it work out with minimal bitching from my family. I mean, I have to get the other van to the dealership, strip it of all the interior and body parts I want as well as the engine and then have it towed out by the junk man all in the same day or weekend. Which isn't going to be easy/possible until March unless I get lucky.

The Daytona is sleeping...no one bitches about it down there, its not like I need it for real transportation needs (well, I didn't until a few days ago). It is a project gone out of control. Sylvia wanted it to be simple...and the Omni be the more serious project car. She was right and what it has become was a mistake, and completely my fault. When I sit down and think about what it would take to get the Daytona finished, at first the list seems small and simple. Put the transmission back together, prime the oil pump, time, and install the engine, install the exhaust, paint, and finish the interior and ice. Once that is done and its running/driving then do all the suspension and brake upgrades I have sitting in my back room. That seems like a simple list. But then I really think about it. The fact that I have not honestly fabbed up hangers for the exhaust and piping for the IC, the alarm needs to be removed and re-done, the fuel pump needs to be pulled back out and the intake screen needs to be replaced (I broke it and then glued it and put it in...I need to fix it right). That is just a short list of the larger problems that need to be addressed before I can "just finish my other car." Not to say that those projects are hard...but they take many hours. Hours I just do not have.
