That's my excuse for the Miata. I have an '94 Accord that gets 30+mpg for a DD, it costs nothing to maintain and is dead reliable, and with snow tires it's also a great winter car. We also have my wifes '07 Accord, because you gotta keep the wife happy. I have a harder time justiying the 3 other Miatas and my TR6. My Dart is purely an investment. On the plus side, my insurance is less than $200 a month for all the cars with full coverage and I am only making payments on the '07 Accord (of course I am in the market for a cheapish truck to serve as a tow vehicle). I think the multiple car thing boils down to what you want. I don't think justifying it financially is possible
