guys.... Campbell. is. not. a. rookie.
this is his third season, he had over a season and a half of learnin' on the sidelines and several starting games last season.
The comparison to Shuler is that the exact same things were said about him. "He is getting better, just you wait!" "He is a rookie he needs some time" etc etc.
Do you hear those things out of Ben Roethlisburger , Tom Brady, etc when they are tossed into games? Nope. (and ben was actually a rookie when he started)
Payton is a good example for the contrary, but when he was a rookie his team was rebuilding and sucked, just like when Aikman started with the cowboys. The redskins dont suck, at least they have the talent to not suck.
A better comparison is Romo, the guy on the other side of the ball, who didnt take 3 draft picks to get and puts the ball where it needs to be.
bottom line, I personally think that Campbell is missing a lot of throws he should make, he is not seeing the field, and his timing isnt that good. I sure as shit hope he gets better but I dont think the praise currently is the slightest bit deserved. He was the weak link in the offense yesterday
