The majority of time they moved the ball was because the receivers were wide open in middle of the field. Converting multiple 3rd and longs isn't because your team is playing well, it's because coverage breaks down.

that is a product of the skins going to a "Cover 2" on most of the third and longs... the problem with the cover 2 is if you dont get the preasure on the QB someone is going to be matched up with a line backer... TO or JW in the middle of the field. the linebackers zone up in the between the hash marks and if a safety comes down on witten, TO will be open... if he stays on TO the ball will be thrown to witten.

Everyone played up on witten to jump his routes after the interception when the backer jumped his route. but to change this up in the second half, dallas had witten in motion and started mixing in out patters after the CBs were run out of the area by the wide outs. witten didnt have a big game, but with a hurt secondary for the skins, to keep him quiet things broke down deep.
