Wellllllll. Actually, I change my Mobil 1 synthetic 5W20 every 7500 miles. BUT THEN! I was about 1000 miles till my next change, and my low oil level indicator light had been off and on for say a month, when 
hock: my engine light came on and the traction control light started flashing. So, I finally decide to look under the hood, and the dipstick didn't register any oil at all. Sooo...I changed my oil, and several miles later all the lights went off. I've always used mobil 1 synthetic 5w20, but have never had this problem. I only have 60k miles on the car, so I can hardly believe it's an engine problem. I think I'll go for a different brand next time and see what happens.
