yes, this is true, 'glasspacks' are commonly referred to any type of muffler that is a straight through design. While this is not technically true. Something like the Cherry Bomb is a true Glasspack (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.cherrybomb.com/glasspacks-front.html">http://www.cherrybomb.com/glasspacks-front.html</a><!-- m -->). I had straight through mufflers/resonators on the mustang. They are not technically a muffler either since they don't have chambers. A resonator is just a device that cancels out certain wavelengths of sound aka muffler. Mufflers usually consist of multiple chambers, those straight throughs are still mufflers, just compact, I am often asked to add them to the exhaust of mustangs to reduce the 'drone'. They just help cancel out certain frequencies.
