I can't remember if you said it, and I'm too tired to read through the first two pages again... but have you told your girl that you're considering marrying her in the future? That might be another important part of the equation, and might make her reconsider where she's coming from. A girl I was hanging out with yesterday mentioned that to me after I asked her what she thought about your situation.
