so i've got a quick random question that i feel is best for this thread.
since i'm tracking the car this weekend and next weekend, i would like to change the oil before abusing the piss out of the engine. however, i changed my oil about ~1500mi ago so i feel that this interval is pretty short. draining and filling the miata is no big deal, but the oil filter is in the most annoying place on these cars. its not a big deal to leave the filter on for another round of abuse since the filter is only ~1500mi old, right? i imagine that the extreme heat and pressure is why its recommended to change the oil for track events, but i cant imagine that there would be a significant increase in dirt and deposits from track use. someone correct me if i'm wrong or tell me that its okay.
