We started doing the secret santa thing w/ family. Basically everyone just gets/gives 1 thing. Like most others everyone has $$$ and if they want something they just buy it themselves rather than getting junk. As for Birthdays I like cards stuffed with green paper with dead presidents printed on them from the USMint
