Just a few comments and these really aren't supposed to come off the way they're going to. They're not for anyone specific, just general thoughts about the topic.
1) If you're not thinking about the consequences you're either not mature enough for a bike or just plain ignorant... that includes what could happen and who would take care of you. Anyone who buys a bike without considering those around them is either rushing in or just being selfish.
2) No one wants to take care of anyone infirmed. That goes for motorcycles, smokers, car accidents, strokes or any other way you get fucked up. People do it because they care, not because they want to.
I think Mike and I are really trying to say same thing, he just didn't realized he was in #1 until recently.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth
