Buy it now with the student discount and you'll get a free Nano before the 16th. I've been pretty hesistant to get an apple but after 3 years of trying to get Joan to switch to PC and 3 years of me struggling to keep my pc's and Joan's apple to share our crap, I've relented and am going to buy the new Macbook.
Here's what we're getting:

2gb of ram
120gb hd
We have a 500gb external hd so I got the smallest internal hd possible. Apple extreme N so Joan and I can both work directly off the network drive and have wireless print and music (we have an express for the airtunes).
