I mean, look at it this way. The stock clutch on my WRX was gripping 100% at 284hp to all 4 wheels. The stock clutch on my STi was holding no problem at 350+ whp before the new block.
I think your vendor is trying to upsell you on something you don't need. 6 pucks can be a pain in the dick from a daily driveability standpoint, and most are either grip or no grip... there's very little middle ground. Twin disc clutches are a nice alternative because they're a little more streetable. Look at it this way: the clutch in my STi (while being super expensive) was carbon / kevlar and that was holding plenty of torque. I think you should be fine man, don't fix it if it ain't broke. And if it turns out to suck, I'd go for a twin disc if you can find one for your car... you'll thank me when you're driving it around town.
