He's already on a non-traditional insurance policy, reserved for people with kit cars or really bad records. We're assuming that he's on his parent's policy, since he is so young, and I think it's safe to assume that it isn't for kit cars...
It is unfortunate that people like this do continue to populate the world and that there isn't some way to contain them. My biggest hope is that he'll learn from this, but I unfortunately have to agree that I'm not holding my breath.
As for suing him, we're considering it and it would be a pretty easy case to argue. We'll see if he appears to be the peice of shit that we're assuming he is, or if he just fucked up this one time (obviously this is an assumed judgement call, not something that can be verified).
I have to agree with Scotty, that this was absolutely the best way for this truck to go. I propose to "pour one for my homie" this weekend at Summit, as submitted by Rex, despite the obvious irony :-).
There is kinda a silver lining to all of this. I was looking to sell him soon anyways to upgrade to a bigger, nicer truck and it probably would have been hard to get somebody to buy it for what it was worth. Now I don't have to worry about that :-).
