Chad somehow "The CCRÔäó" applies to every club? There is no mention of Nasa in mikeys post. Step away from the kool aid, nasa isnt the only club in town 
But to your point, the mid-a region has rules that go into more detail than the west coast written CCR that do in fact require for equal saftey equipment, enforcable by the instructor. (hell, the nasa ccr doesnt even require a rollbar in convertibles)
Other clubs have some sort of a equal protection rule for students, some unofficial, some official, but almost always enforced by the instructor.
point is moot anyways, since as an instructor anyone in the passenger seat is voluntary/not required.
