I voted for it, I actually love watching racing on TV, I watched a lot of F1 lately and used to watch WRC/Dakar rally when I could get it.
I wonder if any of this has to do with actual viewer participation in the sport of road racing. Pretty much everyone I know, from MM and other forums who are into F1, touring car racing, etc etc actually participate in some form of racing themselves, whether it be auto x or RR or what have you, whereas I don't know a single Nascar fan or have ever heard of one who actually participates in some form of racing.
My uncle used to be a circle dirt track racer and I never heard him or any one else at the track talk about Nascar, I'm sure some are fans however. But I would bet money that there are more active autocrossers and road racers in this country then there are dirt track racers/circle track racers, so why Nascar has a more active fanbase is a mystery to me.
