white_2kgt Wrote:Hu? So you are a professional photographer now? Like I said above, if it works for you, great. However, I'd expect a true professional to have their own site. I just enabled the PhotoWorks plugin in my gallery2, added a few pictures to the shopping cart, then checked out with photoworks, just to test quality, easy, painless and all I paid for was the website I already have and the prints I decided I wanted to print.
If by professional you mean it's my day job, no.
If by professional you mean I get paid to take pictures, yes.
"True professionals" usually have a rebranded site (i.e. http://www.moonriverphotography.com [note the powered by smugmug]) for purchases and/or pay someone else to main a portfolio site.
white_2kgt Wrote:$150/yr for smugmug, holy shit.
That's two hours worth of work. How much do you pay for hosting?
If anyone wants to rip this out to another topic, please feel free.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth
