Im just curious, but whats the big deal with salvage titles? Just throwing my 2 cents out there, but if the work was done right, i see no problem with salvage titles. 80% of the cars i've owned have been salvage titles. the only real down fall to them is they are alittle hard to resell.

Just saying i wouldn't exclude them from your list, its already going to be hard to find one of these cars. My advice is if you don't know what to look for when checking out a salvage title car then take someone with you who does. You'd be surprised what an insurance will total, and whats completely fixable.

Now something that has or had frame damage then yes i would not buy one of those cars. But just because a car has a salvage title doesn't mean its not a "good" car. My insurace totaled my 97 Prelude because the headlights were broken and the hood was alittle bent. I could have fixed it for under a grand, the car was worth 7, but since the estimate was over 4 grand they totaled it.

Keep your options open. Unless your financing, then yeah you will have to get a clean title car.
