I think the problem is that a lot of people, out of fear of being lonely, will just settle with someone who they've been with for a long time. This works sometimes, but a lot of times it doesn't... especially if you get married at a young age. You change so much between 20 and 30 that it often causes rifts in marriages.

I've traditionally been opposed to marriage, but it's growing on me more and more the older I get. I'm just going to be very cautious about not settling, and instead finding a girl that I get along with very well and who will put up with my shit (and that doesn't cause too much shit of her own). Preferrably one who isn't looking to have children. Ever.

I personally think early to mid 30s is a good time to get married, but most people nowadays do it much younger than that. Whatever makes you happy I guess. You can't deny the US divorce statistics though, and I personally think they're due in part to people "settling" or getting married too young.
