Good luck finding an extended cab long bed truck! My dads last two trucks (04 and 06) have had to be special ordered to get that combination..and actually, by 06, you couldnt get an extended cab anymore. Suicide doors suck ass for getting in and out of if you're going to do much people hauling..at least the ones before the door opened all the way. If you parked next to a car you were trapped trying to get out of the back. Full size doors in the back are much better...and I don't know about the new fords and such, but GM wont even make a custom long bed full size extended cab anymore..and the used ones are pretty hard to find. A long bed is the way to go though! That extra 2 feet is well worth it!
