Case NOT closed, yep mine broke.
If you MUST get a tape based camera then get 8mm, NOT MiniDV, mini DV is to susceptible to errors due to vibrations. I had a miniDV camera and every hard bump or even hard shift would introduce errors. Probably one reason why it didn't last very long. Around the carousel at Summit I'd see maybe 1/3 of it on the tape, the rest would be errors.
