So I talked to Cobalt about my braking problems, and they think that its pad knockback from the pad backing plate being ever so slightly too large and binding in the bracket.

Hasnt cobalt been pushing spec miata pads for some time now and they cant get their backing plates sized correctly?

i tried a set of cobalt sport GT pads that i used for the first time at this event. the pedal was getting a tiny bit mushy towards the end of sessions, but i never felt like the master cyl was messed up. i do have a problem with the backing plates not having those little holes drilled into the sides of them so i wasnt able to use those little paper clip retainer thingies. it sounds like the pads were grinding on the street because of that. aside from that though, the pad seemed like a good light duty track pad. we'll see how they hold up in july events
