Come on, John. Unions aren't the reason why the US auto industry is failing. Unions came about in the 20/30's due to corporate abuse.
Union bosses and auto management dropped the ball and didn't properly forcast into the distant future. That's the problem.
Unions, in and of themselves, can be a great counterbalancing force as witnessed by Justin's account.
