It really depends on how you decided to flat it out. That car is "satin" as far as I can tell. Some times people use a single stage paint to get the effect, ie no clear coat. You can also use the clear to make a satin or flat color. You can "flatten" the clear by adding in a chemical when you mix the clear. You can do it to different degrees to get different finishes. You can buff it just like regular paint but depending on your method certain precautions have to be taken to keep the finish the way you want it.
