2 funny places I've been on 4/20 in past years:
Freshman at UC Boulder. Right next to my dorm there was an athletic field used for training. On 4/20, a TON of people... students and teachers both... congregate there and smoke together. It was really unbelievable when I first saw it. I wasn't smoking at the time, so my friends and I bought a baby pool, inflated it without water and sat in it drinking Heinekens watching the funny stuff happen. I kid you not I saw a joint that must have been 3 feet long.... people took turns holding the middle up! A guy that lived at teh top of the dorm overlooking the field had a little patio and he was a DJ. He chained / blocked his room off and spun with the speakers facing out over the field! It was pretty cool, I distinctly remember him spinning the ATB mix of Bob Marley's "The Sun is Shining" =)
Another year a bunch of friends of mine and I went into DC on 4/20 for "Freedom Day" or whatever it's called. Right on the main lawn in front of one of those govt buildings the DC police cordoned off a large area and people are allowed to freely smoke in public! It was pretty wild. They have a stage set up with bands, hippies spouting treehugger bullshit and other funny stuff. We saw lawyers and well dressed individuals stroll by to enjoy a smoke out in the sun in front of the police, then presumably walk back to work :lol:
