... what part of that doesnt apply today? we are the longest lasting democracy in history... i might be making that up... but we have to be close.
I've read a TON of early american history books. Most of them being the published journals of the actual people that make our history books. from what i have read, they wanted to make sure that this government is always for the people and if it wasnt for the people to be able to empower themselves to change what is wrong... by any means.
