We live in the Land Of The Free and The Home of The Brave. Our government trusts us with gun ownership, when that is abused or exploited, it gets taken away.

I was just saying that feersty was stating the obvious. Yes, taking away law abiding citizens' right to bear arms, you're exhibiting more control over them. Yes, we live in the land of the free (although we don't get to do *anything* we want to). Yes, the govt should trust us with gun ownership, but when that right is abused, it should get taken away. (not entirely, just severely limited.)
