It was in the Breeze last year, but JMU's policy is basically no guns on campus whatsoever. The counter argument that was brought up was that such a rule is unconstitutional as everyone, student or not, has a right to bear arms, but come on...there is absolutely no reason why anyone would need or want a gun on the grounds of an educational institution. Just because someone has a permit to carry one doesn't mean that they have the mental stability to not kill someone the second they get pissed off...if you really fear for your safety on a college campus, either transfer, or carry a knife/stun gun/baton or something and most importantly know how to use such a defensive weapon should you not have the option to escape the situation.
